Join Susan Harris for her Yoga Nidra Workshop
Sunday, January 21, 3:30pm-4:30pm. $25
Yoga Nidra, literally yoga sleep, is a deep and powerful form of guided meditation. It induces a state of mind between sleep and wakefulness, and facilitates deep relaxation. Based on ancient Indian meditation traditions, it involves eight stages (internalization, sankalpa, rotation of consciousness, breath awareness, manifestation of opposites, creative visualization, sankalpa, and externalization).
The class will start with gentle stretching to prepare the body for lying still. The Yoga Nidra will last about 45-50 minutes. During this time, students will lie still in a supported supine position and listen to the facilitator as she guides them through the eight stages of the practice.

From time to time we may feel sluggish, heavy and blocked. We want to feel energized, motivated and vibrant but don't always know what we need to do. This Chakra series will allow you to tap into the healing and strengthening power of your body's energetic chakra system.
The body's seven chakras modulate our immune, reproductive and energetic systems. When energy gets trapped in our bodies, we are more prone to illness, depression and negative thoughts.
By working with the chakra system, we will stimulate energetic movement so that we can get our bodies--and minds--working with more fluidity, health and vigor.
The first workshop will focus on the lower three chakras, for stability and core strength. The second workshop will focus on the upper four chakras for heart opening and wholeness.
Only when we come into our own inner alignment can we be fully present and awake for ourselves and others.
